Who are we?

The origin of this project

“Paris vibrates to the rhythm of its artists; La Petite Seine sails alongside them.”

It all began on the benches of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA). As students in the Master’s programme in Multilingual Information Management, we shared a common passion: independent art and the energy of the Parisian scene. Faced with so many talented people creating in the shadows, we wanted to build a bridge between the digital world and raw creativity.

La Petite Seine was born from this desire: a passionate student collective navigating the heart of the capital to discover, promote and showcase the independent artists who will shape the Paris of tomorrow. Here are the faces behind the screens.

The team behind the spotlight

Dorian Lilamand

I am currently studying for a Master’s degree in GMI at URCA, and I am the writer behind La Petite Seine. From artist portraits to reviews of intimate venues, I make sure to highlight the people who bring the independent music scene to life. If an article makes you want to rush off to the next concert, then the challenge has been successful!

I spend most of my free time immersed in my writing and illustration projects. I like to spark my curiosity by discovering new cultural worlds.

Elia Fevre

I am studying for a Master’s degree in GMI and I am passionate about digital communication and everything that helps create connections. Social media and community management are my playground: I love imagining, sharing, exchanging and bringing a community to life! That is exactly what I do within La Petite Seine.

Sensitive and empathetic by nature, I am also the person who likes to put people at ease, listen, encourage and bring a good dose of good humour to everyday life. I care about bringing humanity into everything I do, because behind every screen there are, above all, people!

In short: a creative mind, a big heart and a smile that is almost always there… even when algorithms decide to do whatever they want!

Axel Barbier

I am a student in the Master’s programme in GMI at URCA, and I am the technical architect behind La Petite Seine. From lines of code to bug fixes, I make sure that our platform remains at its best for you and for our artists. If the website does not crash, it is thanks to me; if there is a bug, I am already working on fixing it!

Creative at heart, I spend my free time in my own world, whether through drawing, reading or architecture… both on paper and in Minecraft!
