Cookie Management

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. It may be used to remember a preference, ensure the website operates properly or measure its audience.

La Petite Seine also uses certain technical browser storage mechanisms that operate in a similar way to cookies.

2. Managing your consent

The website uses Complianz | GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent to manage your choices regarding cookies and services requiring your consent.

Your consent is stored for 30 days. After this period, you may be asked to make your choice again.

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “Manage cookies” button located at the bottom of the page.

Refusing optional cookies does not prevent general access to the website. However, certain features, such as the interactive map or audience statistics, may be disabled.

3. Necessary and functional cookies

Complianz

The following elements are used to remember your consent choices:

  • cmplz_cookie_data;
  • cmplz_functional;
  • cmplz_preferences;
  • cmplz_statistics;
  • cmplz_marketing.

These elements are used solely to record and apply your cookie preferences.

They are retained for 30 days.

The presence of cmplz_statistics or cmplz_marketing does not mean that statistical or marketing cookies are automatically placed.

WordPress

WordPress may use wpEmojiSettingsSupports to check whether your browser properly supports emojis.

This is temporary technical storage, limited to the browsing session. It is not used to track visitors.

The following cookies may also be used solely for WordPress login and administration:

  • wordpress_logged_in_*;
  • wordpress_test_cookie;
  • wp-settings-*;
  • wp-settings-time-*.

These cookies are linked to logged-in users and are not normally used for logged-out visitors.

4. Language preference cookie

The website uses Polylang to offer several languages.

The pll_language cookie is used to remember the language selected by the visitor.

It is retained for 30 days.

5. Statistical cookies

Google Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics, configured with the Site Kit by Google plugin, to measure its audience and understand how visitors use the website.

The following cookies may be used:

  • _ga;
  • _ga_*.

They may in particular be used to distinguish visitors and maintain the state of a browsing session.

These cookies are blocked by Complianz and are only activated after you consent to the Statistics category.

The configured retention period for these cookies is 2 years.

User data and events retained in Google Analytics are kept for 2 months.

Processing carried out by Google is subject to its privacy policy.

6. Interactive map

The website uses maps created with Google My Maps and embedded through iframes.

Before your consent, the map is blocked and a button allows you to accept the service in order to display it.

After acceptance, Google may receive certain technical data necessary to display the map, such as your IP address, browser or information relating to your device.

Any cookies or technical storage potentially used by Google Maps are subject to Google’s configuration and policies. La Petite Seine does not necessarily control their retention period.

Processing carried out by Google is subject to its privacy policy.

7. Comments

The website uses the native WordPress commenting system.

In the current configuration, the comment form does not offer visitors the option of remembering their name, email address or website. No specific cookie intended to store this information is therefore used in this context.

8. Services not used

The website currently does not use:

  • ActiveCampaign cookies;
  • advertising cookies;
  • personalised advertising;
  • a newsletter;
  • a public user account;
  • online payment or reservation services.

9. Managing cookies in your browser

You may also delete or block cookies through your browser settings.

However, disabling necessary cookies may affect the operation of certain website features.
